This safari is ideally made for someone who wants to get to know Uganda within a short period of time. We offer
This Tour will only take place from a miminum number of two people.
Small group with a maximum of 14 people on the way. In the individual national parks we enjoy
Game drives and boat trips with wildlife viewing. We stay in lodges and tented camps

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Entebbe Uganda

You will be picked up from the airport and taken to the hotel/lodge where you will spend your first day
on arrival. Driving time approx. 15-30 minutes.

Day 2DRIVE TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

Located at the southern end of the Ruwenzori Mountains, the 2,000 km2 Queen Elizabeth National Park is
Home to over 600 species of birds, several species of monkeys, elephants, buffalo, hippos, crocodiles,
lions, hyenas and many other mammals. On foot, by boat and on a game drive with ours

Day 3QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK CHIMPANZEE-TREKKING AND A BOAT TOUR ON KAZINGA CHANNEL

Early in the morning drive from the lodge to the ranger post at the Kyambura Gorge. Here the Kyambura River falls into the Central African Rift Valley and has created this gorge up to 100 m deep and approx. 300 m wide in the middle of the grass savannah. In contrast to the dry grass savannah, tropical rainforest grows in the approx. 10 km long gorge – home to chimpanzees and several other monkey species. Leopards also feel at home here, as do hippos. Today you can expect a varied nature hike through the Kyambura
Gorge with the chance to observe our closest relatives – the chimpanzees – in their natural environment. A sighting of the chimpanzees cannot be guaranteed
in anyway
Due to the always humid climate in the gorge, the hike can be slippery and slippery at times
to be annoying. Walking time for chimpanzee tracking approx. 3-5 hours / ↑↓ 200-300 m ascent

In the afternoon boat game drive on the Kazinga Channel. We hope to be able to observe as much wildlife activity in and around the water as possible. Crocodiles, hippos, buffalo, elephants and flamingos cross our path. A great opportunity for wildlife viewing and photography from the waterside.
After the boat ride there is still enough time to explore the open savannas for wildlife viewing
roam. With the setting sun you look for an idyllic place in the midst of the animals
for a sundowner.

Day 4DRIVE TO LAKE MBURO NATIONALPARK

Drive through the southern park and arrive on a track through spectacular scenery
for lunch the Igongo Cultural Center. The small museum tells the story of the Ankole, an ancient royal clan in Uganda. Plantains, among other things, are served at the rich buffet.

Day 5LAKE MBURO NATIONALPARK

Today you spend the whole day at MALAIKA Smile. You can spend time with your godchild. There is the possibility of a short hike through the municipality of Mutundwe and the surrounding area.

Day 8MALAIKA SMILE HOME / KAMPALA TOUR

After breakfast, drive to Kampala, which is approximately 12 km from the hotel. You can make a stop at the Royal Palace. Afterwards, continue to the Uganda Museum in Kampala. It displays ethnological, natural history and traditional collections related to Uganda’s cultural heritage. Here you will get to know the history of almost all cultures in Uganda.
After visiting the museum, continue to the Namirembe Cathedral. Saint Paul ́s Cathedral Namirembe, commonly referred to as Namirembe Cathedral, is the oldest cathedral in Uganda. It was opened in 1919. It serves as the provincial cathedral of the Church in Uganda and the diocesan cathedral for the Diocese of Namirembe. Visit a restaurant in Kampala for lunch. The Nakasero Market, the Kibuli Mosque and the Makerere University are also worth seeing. The Kibuli Mosque is one of the largest and oldest mosques in Uganda with a
beautiful view over Kampala.

Day 9SHOEBUCK AND DEPARTURE

Early morning drive to Mabamba Papyrus Wetland, just west of Entebbe, home to rich water bird life, including of the rare shoebill stork. Explore the swampy area in a small fishing boat with a local bird watcher. In the afternoon there is time for last minute souvenir shopping or a walk through the Entebbe Botanical Gardens, which are beautifully situated on Lake Victoria. Day room in the guest house until your transfer, farewell to your Ugandan guide and cozy dinner. Transfer by shuttle to Entebbe International Airport in time.
