On your photo safari, you travel in special safari vehicles with lifting roofs to the Maasai Mara, Kenya’s most animal-rich reserve.
The nature reserve is known for the great migration of wildebeest and zebra herds from the Serengeti to the Mara. They must cross the Mara River – a spectacular spectacle! During numerous game drives you will observe imposing herds of elephants, giraffes elegantly hiking across the plain, antelopes nibbling on green branches and perhaps lions and cheetahs on the hunt. If you want, you can optionally book a balloon ride over the Mara: floating almost silently over the savannah at sunrise is an incredibly special experience.
Lake Naivasha
Home not only to more than 300 different bird species, but also a habitat for giraffes, hippos, and antelopes. it is the highest freshwater lake on the East African Rift Valley. The Amboseli National Park also called Ash Pit because of its gray earth, it is in southern Kenya on the border with Tanzania. The mighty Kilimanjaro is close and often serves as a background for numerous photo opportunities. Acacia forests, swamps and savannah alternate; gazelles, bucks, antelopes and black rhinos live here as well as wild dogs, large herds of elephants, jackals, lions and cheetahs.
In Tsavo West National Park
you will encounter red elephants, because they throw the red laterite dust at each other and are an attractive photo opportunity. The landscape is hilly with numerous volcanic cones rising from the plain and in the steppe keep a lookout for the warthogs’ tails. At Mzima Springs, watch hippos and crocodiles from an underwater shelter. With binoculars you can watch the herds of animals moving through the plain – Kilimanjaro shines in the distance. On the further way you can either return to Nairobi by vehicle or you can take the new Madraka Express train and cover the distance in an air-conditioned open-plan car – this is a different way of traveling. On the way you spend the night in comfortable, stylish, and beautifully located hotels, lodges, and tented camps.
